This unit explores the French-speaking world's love affair with cinema, tracing its development from early silent films to the present day. As well as teaching specialised vocabulary and helping students develop their listening skills, this unit aims to explore how the cinema business is connected to the French State in a way that is quite different to what we see in most of the English-speaking world.
